Frostgun Invitational is considered one of the biggest big air competitions in all of Europe, and together with Burn Energy things got hot. With a riderslist consisting of several X Games winners, Dew Tour competitors and the likes thereof, its one of the most important stops on the AFP Tour.
This year the competition set the bar with the biggest turnup ever, a worldclass kicker, nightsession and helishoot and of course some of the most legendary, burning afterparties ever to hit Val Thorens. With Aussie Russ Henshaw reclaiming his title from last year, and Elias Ambühl in a close 2nd, this year's competition showed some of the most technical riding in the Nordic hemisphere.
We even saw one of the best attempts for triple cork 1440 from Norwegian ripper Fridjof Fredricsson; a trick that would have been marked as the first ever and putting Frostgun Invitational in the historybooks. It was also the first time Burn was part of Frostgun Invitational, and it will definitely not be the last.
